As a result of the Syrian government's import restriction no. 13470 recently, all goods exported to Syria must meet the legal requirements or face detention or other administrative penalties. Consignor and consignor are requested to observe the following operating regulations:
1. The shipper shall carefully check the cargo information with the consignee before booking the cargo space, confirm that the consigned cargo complies with the requirements of the import restriction act of Syria, and obtain the relevant certificates and documents required for customs clearance in advance according to the regulations, so as to ensure timely clearance and delivery of the consignee at the port of destination.
2. The carrier and its agent shall not be liable for any loss or damage suffered by the shipper or consignee in violation of the act or otherwise.
3. The shipper and the consignee shall be jointly and severally liable for all losses, expenses and risks arising from the carrier and its agents resulting from its failure to comply with government decrees or these provisions.
